May 7, 2009. i asked the tube store and got some different suggestions because i want a clean sound. they suggested the following. jan-phillips 5751 for the preamp tube and for the normal and bass channel and a jan-phillips 12axt for the phase tube. they also suggested some pricey winged 'c' (sed) 6L6s.
