I also … WebJun 24, 2024 · Given that pulling the clutch lever is not required for shifting while moving, you should be able to get through the gears just using the throttle and the shifter. If you can change gears the problem might be clutch linkages. If you can not change gears, then the problem might be shift forks or stem rod or linkages.

WebMay 10, 2024 · In heavy traffic when I need to shift often between 1-2-3 gears and neutral after some time the downshifting becomes very hard. It's looks like the gear shifter is stucking and i need to push it with my foot several times to downshift on one gear. Also, at the same time on the stop I can't switch to neutral. Webcheck the ignition switch harness for power drops across the white wire and the pink wire... it is a know problem for the harness to lose power there and causes loss of transmission shifting along with instrument cluster failures. 85 people found this helpful. WebDec 17, 2024 · The dealership told me those spider gears would "wedge" in place and lcok it up, hince why it could not shift. Mine actually got hung in gear 3 times and I had to kill the machine because you couldn't even stop it with the brake, it was locked in gear and would just keep going. When the bike is sitting still the transmission usually will only shift from 1st to neutral, or neutral to 1st. If it won't shift past neutral while moving....you might have a clutch issue, since the only thing you mention changing is the handlebars. You need to pull your clutches off and pull them apart to clean all the broken belt out. I would agree with this.
