WitrynaHerichthys minckleyi, a cichlid fish, is endemic to the spring-fed pools of the Cuatro Ciénegas basin in Coahuila, Mexico and demonstrates at least three distinct trophic morphotypes, or ‘morphs’ (Kornfield and Taylor 1983). The two most abundant morphs are distinguished by differences in pharyngeal jaw mor-phology.
