It costs USD $59.90 which is quite cheap for balanced output. I think the cheapest stand-alone DAC with XLR output that I have tested was US $150 ( Massdrop Grace SDAC Balanced ). I would not upgrade unless our techie friends (like Amir @ computerscienceaudio and Hans B) do testing that shows it is really better. $100 is not expensive, but it is still a TI DAC chip-based solution. I want to see if it is really better before I shell out $$.
