And this build makes great use of that with Pathfinder’s Prolif to maximize its damage!

It deals chaos damage over time, and its damage is based on base physical/chaos damage of the hit that inflicts it. That means modifiers that affect strictly hit damage (like %Increased damage with hits) won’t affect it in any way.
